For Boarding & Day StudenTS

ABOUT THE COURSE

The Green Room Piano Festival is a prestigious 5-day residential course set in Stamford, UK (England's 'most attractive town' - The Times). We accept boarding and day students aged 10-20.

The course is a unique opportunity for intermediate to advanced young pianists (aged 10 -20) from across the globe, to immerse themselves in a residential music programme led by distinguished faculty, including our honorary guest visitor and Steinway's Top Teacher Award recipient, Vivian Shiao - who will be joining us from Los Angeles, California.

Students reside and take meals in The Garden House, located in the heart of Stamford. Our curriculum covers a wide range of classes from group masterclasses in classical, jazz and contemporary performance to lectures tackling a variety of studies, including performance anxiety. The course is also full of many fun activities and is a wonderful opportunity for students from around the world to create new friends.

Students round off the five days by performing in our end of course concert. Students will have the opportunity to perform at this concert on a Steinway Model B Grand Piano.

Stamford is 2 hours away by car from London Heathrow International Airport. We recommend pre-booked airport transfer for the smoothest possible journey, however there is also a possible train journey. Please email info@greenroomplace.com to request an International Travellers Packet.
