Leo Little

Leo Little is a London-based pianist and composer whose work is defined by a close dialogue between performance and creation. Currently in his second year at the Royal College of Music (RCM), Leo studies piano with Andrew Zolinsky and composition with Dr Alison Kay, supported by the Robey Scholarship and Talent Unlimited.
As a pianist, Leo focuses particularly on 20th- and 21st-century repertoire—an interest developed during his time at the Junior Royal Academy of Music under the guidance of Eva Doroszkowska. This has now become a central part of his musical identity. He was recently a finalist in the prestigious Chappell Medal Competition at the RCM, and has worked in masterclasses with pianists including Vanessa Latarche, Roy Howat, and Vivian Shiao.
Leo’s compositional voice is closely informed by his experience at the piano. His work has received national recognition, including two “Highly Commended” awards from the BBC Young Composer Competition. In 2023, his orchestral work Symphonic Fantasia was premiered by the NMPAT Orchestra, and in 2025 he was awarded the Clements Prize for Composers, leading to a performance of his chamber work Collision Course at Conway Hall in 2026.
Whether performing as a soloist or collaborating as a répétiteur and chamber musician, Leo brings the perspective of a composer to his interpretations, aiming to make the language of contemporary music both accessible and compelling for his audience.
